The Air conditioning
The purpose for which it is produced an air conditioning system is to create the enjoyable conditions for comfort to the occupants of such a room, but the feeling of well-being is absolutely personal and it changes from person to person, depending on the objective conditions it is set up an air conditioning system according to the clothes (light or heavy), the type of activity (sedentary or heavy work), the physical conditions (agitated or relaxed).
How it can be possible providing the right solution to so many requirements?
It was decided to do a statistical approach, i.e. defining the welfare conditions in which the majority of those involved people say they feel comfortable; many tests were carried out by using people of different sex, age, etc. and recording their statements in different conditions. If at least 80% of people who are in a room reports the sensation of comfortable conditions, the conditions are acceptable as provided by international regulations.
The air conditioning consists in a simultaneous control and interdependent of four basic conditions which can be occurr in the environment:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Movement
- Quality Air
The success of any climate control system is given by keeping the control of those variables.
The air conditioning system is based on the heat exchange occurring between the human body and the environment surrounding it: an air conditioning system must create the comfort conditions in such an environment.
What are btu and why they are important
Btu (British Thermal Unit) is an English unit used to size the energy.
The BTU is the indicator of the heating power and / or cooling of an air conditioner or a conditioner the more btu are shown on the technical data sheet of the device the more surface you can heat or cool.
Being careful on how many btu are requested for such an air conditioner system is important to know whether the units can respond to your needs.
What determines the calculation of btu?
To find out how many btu are necessary for your home environment you must consider many factors:
- how many square footage is the environment
- the surface of the windows and relevant exposure
- the surface of the walls and on exposure
- ceiling surface
- existing thermal insulation
- any internal or external blinds
- persons attending inside the rooms
- appliances
- type of lighting
All these factors affect the final result, as they affect the heat generated inside a room.
The amount of BTU corresponds approximately to a certain amount of square meters.
